Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.55% or 7.50 points to trade at 142.60 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 4.22% or 6.6 points to end at 163.1 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) was up 3.51% or 8.4 points to 247.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which lost 1.01% or 0.80 points to trade at 78.70 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 0.29% or 0.6 points to end at 210.5 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) gained 0.63% or 1.0 points to 159.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 348 to 97 and 4 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.10% or 0.97 to $47.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.38% or 0.69 to hit $51.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.91% or 10.30 to trade at $1123.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 1.17% to 9.3575, while USD/SEK fell 0.10% to 8.4259.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 96.52.
