At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.58%, the S&P 500 index gained 0.77%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 0.62%.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock bourses were mixed at the close. France’s CAC 40 was down 0.13%; Germany’s DAX gained 0.10%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.17%; and the EURO STOXX 50 rose 0.12%.
