Investing.com - OPEC expects oil demand in 2017 to be as healthy robust as this year.
Secretary general Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo told reporters Asia will play key role in trend for oil demand.
"We are expecting growth next year as robust as this year, in the region of around 1.2 million bpd," Barkindo said.
OPEC last week agreed to cut output by 1.2 mn b/d to 32.5 mn, the first cuts since 2008, driving oil higher.
It has invited non-OPEC producers to chip in with a further 600,000 b/d cut.
Barkindo said OPEC has invited non-OPEC countries such Russia to a meeting Dec 10 to discuss this.
