Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Poalim (TA:POLI), which rose 2.19% or 44 points to trade at 2049 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 1.67% or 950 points to end at 57890 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 1.53% or 250 points to 16560 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Osem (TA:OSEM), which lost 1.80% or 133 points to trade at 7254 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.65% or 33 points to end at 1973 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) shed 1.54% or 82 points to 5257.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 194 to 145 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.89% or 0.36 to $41.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.20% or 0.53 to hit $44.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1067.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.23% to 3.9011, while EUR/ILS fell 0.17% to 4.1543.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 99.76.
