Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 1.20% or 0.2 points to trade at 16.8 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.01% or 100.0 points to end at 10000.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.68% or 120.0 points to 17840.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 7.96% or 135.0 points to trade at 1560.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.49% or 170.0 points to end at 6650.0 and Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) shed 3.33% or 210.0 points to 6090.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 9 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.99% or 1.18 to $117.28 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.47% or 46.00 to hit $3180.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1163.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.28% to 2916.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.40% to 746.60.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 96.91.
