Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 9.03% or 840.0 points to trade at 10140.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 3.28% or 45.0 points to end at 1415.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 2.41% or 280.0 points to 11920.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which lost 2.26% or 540.0 points to trade at 23360.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 2.18% or 560.0 points to end at 25160.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.24% or 160.0 points to 12700.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 7 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.24% or 0.32 to $131.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.14% or 35.00 to hit $3095.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1246.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.11% to 2986.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.11% to 866.46.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 93.88.
