On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1284.80 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.86%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1277.40 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1277.40 and resistance at USD1306.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.01% to trade at USD79.57.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.47% to trade at USD19.083 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery rose 0.08% to trade at USD3.025 a pound.
