On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1298.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.19%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1292.20 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1268.60 and resistance at USD1306.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.09% to trade at USD79.77.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.58% to trade at USD19.603 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.22% to trade at USD3.086 a pound.
