On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1298.90 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.35%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1298.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1280.90 and resistance at USD1307.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.12% to trade at USD80.46.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.58% to trade at USD19.830 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 0.09% to trade at USD3.020 a pound.
