On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1283.60 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.95%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1281.90 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1281.90 and resistance at USD1306.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.09% to trade at USD79.50.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.45% to trade at USD19.087 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.60% to trade at USD3.009 a pound.
