Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.05% or 20.0 points to trade at 1920.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.56% or 10.0 points to end at 1785.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 0.21% or 20.0 points to 9700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.35% or 160.0 points to trade at 6640.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 2.16% or 25.0 points to end at 1135.0 and Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) shed 1.23% or 20.0 points to 1600.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 4 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.70% or 0.81 to $116.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.52% or 44.00 to hit $2842.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 0.24% or 3.00 to trade at $1229.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.36% to 3355.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.49% to 834.16.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 96.68.
