Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Beverage, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 9.98% or 6 points to trade at 65 at the close. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 9.34% or 1.70 points to end at 19.90 and Timar (CS:TIM) was up 5.74% or 20.05 points to 369.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL), which lost 6.00% or 3.54 points to trade at 55.46 in late trade. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) declined 5.21% or 5.31 points to end at 96.59 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) shed 4.06% or 20 points to 472.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 24 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $46.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $47.53 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.45 to trade at $1272.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.14% to 10.9700, while USD/MAD rose 0.20% to 9.6195.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.06.
