Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) is a Vietnam-based company active in the oil and gas refining and marketing industry. The Company's main business is the wholesale and retail trading of petroleum products, such as gasoline, diesel oil (DO), fuel oil (FO) and aviation fuel, as well as petrochemical products and gas products. It operates petroleum bulk stations together with gasoline stations. Petrolimex, via its subsidiaries, is also involved in the transportation of petroleum and liquefied gas by pipelines, sea-borne and inland water tankers, as well as tanker trucks. Other activities include the provision of insurance policies, as well as investments in banking, construction and construction materials trading businesses.

Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (HoSE: PLX) is also in a very favorable business context when gasoline and jet fuel prices are recovering positively in line with the rising trend of world oil prices. The growth of profit after tax in the first quarter of 2021 can therefore reach 200% over the same period last year.PLX is the leading player in petroleum product distribution with 50% market share. PLX has 2,700 COCO stations (owned and operated by the company, and retail) and 2,800 DODO stations (owned and operated by the agent, wholesalers). Other businesses include petrochemicals (lubricants, asphalt), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petroleum transportation, insurance and banking.
