Ramsdens Holdings PLC is a diversified, financial services provider and retailer. The Company operates through four segments: foreign currency exchange, pawnbroking loans, precious metals buying and selling and retailing of second hand and new jewelry. It offers sale and purchase of foreign currency notes to holidaymaker. It also provides prepaid travel cards and international bank-to-bank payments. The Company offers new and second-hand jewelry, including premium watches, for sale. Its pawnbroking loans, which are short term loans up to six months in duration secured on items of jewelry or watches. Its precious metals buying, which is the buying of gold and silver from customers and selling the non-retail pieces to a bullion dealer. It also offers additional services in cheque cashing, Western Union money transfer, credit broking and receiving franchise fees. It provides logbook loans and international money transfers.
