It operates through six segments: Vehicles–Sales; After Sales Services, Retail, Construction and logistical solutions, Agriculture and Engineering solutions. The company engages in the import, sale, and repair of passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, material handling machinery, construction machinery, agri machinery, earth moving machinery, car parking systems, and power tools; import and sale of vehicle spares, components, consumer products, accessories, lamps, home appliances, and paints; provision of solutions in lighting, storage systems, and power engineering, including solar power generation systems; and repack and distribution of fertilizers. It is also involved in the sale, after sales, and provision of solutions for bio-medical engineering, power engineering, building technologies, civil engineering, elevators and escalators, industrial refrigeration systems, marine and rail propulsion, and fluid management systems; provision of transportation facilities; import and sale of tires; and imports re-packing and sales of pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, weedicides, plant growth regulators, compound and liquid fertilizers, and hybrid seeds, as well as engages in processing of organic fertilizers. In addition, the company produces, processes, and distributes seed paddy, hybrid seeds, and vegetable seeds; and offers cardiac rhythm management, interventional cardiac operations, and related therapy line solutions. Further, it sells automobiles; and provides automobile repairs and services. Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC was founded in 1939 and is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
