In today’s Mining Highlights, we look at the weekly and year to date performance of commodities, the driving forces behind Nickel and Hard Coking Coal, the top leaders & laggards in the mining industry, and more, with Charlie Gibson, Head of Mining at Edison Research, and Beth Payne, Head of Communications at Tip TV.

Highlights:

Commodities price performance (1 Week)
Hard Coking Coal, still holding up
Nicke shines

Commodities price performance (YTD)
Palladium overtakes Gold
Nickel outperforms Platinum

Mining leaders & laggards (1 week)
Same pattern among leaders like last week. Anglo American (LON:AAL), BHP, and Rio Tinto (LON:RIO) are the one’s who going to benefit from rising coal prices.

Worth noting is US Silica Holdings, B2Gold, and Anglo American continue to remain in the leaderboard this week too.

In the laggards, it is mostly the Chinese mining companies.
