Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.72% or 6.8 points to trade at 257.0 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) added 2.11% or 3.1 points to end at 150.0 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 1.60% or 2.60 points to 165.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 6.15% or 2.80 points to trade at 42.70 in late trade. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 5.12% or 10.1 points to end at 187.2 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 4.76% or 4.20 points to 84.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 330 to 281 and 51 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.59% or 0.78 to $49.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.62% or 0.81 to hit $50.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.95 to trade at $1269.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 1.66% to 9.8822, while USD/SEK rose 1.73% to 9.0660.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 98.87.
