Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 1.72% or 0.135 points to trade at 7.995 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.83% or 0.30 points to end at 36.63 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 0.81% or 0.20 points to 24.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.96% or 0.132 points to trade at 4.326 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 2.05% or 0.53 points to end at 25.38 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) shed 1.68% or 0.46 points to 26.94.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 73 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.14% or 0.06 to $43.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.32% or 0.13 to hit $41.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.12% or 15.05 to trade at $1356.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.81% to 1.1167, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8430.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.14% at 95.59.
