Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Beverage and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.47% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 5.96% or 70 points to trade at 1245 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) added 5.00% or 100 points to end at 2100 and CDM (CS:CDM) was up 4.55% or 20 points to 460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Taslif (CS:TSF1), which lost 5.83% or 2.10 points to trade at 33.90 in late trade. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) declined 5.05% or 5.00 points to end at 94.00 and Risma (CS:RIS) shed 3.24% or 3.45 points to 103.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 28 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.24% or 0.12 to $50.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.54% or 6.80 to trade at $1263.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.03% to 10.8220, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.8475.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.81.
