Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 0.51% or 0.0600 points to trade at 11.7700 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.16% or 0.0250 points to end at 15.7200 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was up 0.09% or 0.0010 points to 1.1290 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 3.19% or 0.1830 points to trade at 5.5620 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 2.06% or 0.0540 points to end at 2.5700 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 1.67% or 0.1000 points to 5.9000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 44 to 7 and 1 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.50% or 0.79 to $51.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.29% or 0.65 to hit $49.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1251.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1159, while EUR/GBP rose 1.50% to 0.8971.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 96.78.
