Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.18% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 7.76% or 0.045 points to trade at 0.625 at the close. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) added 6.38% or 0.3000 points to end at 5.0000 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 5.00% or 0.070 points to 1.470 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 9.22% or 0.053 points to trade at 0.522 in late trade. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 3.97% or 0.005 points to end at 0.121 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 3.21% or 0.0090 points to 0.2710.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 45 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.44% or 5.43 to $1232.93 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $48.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1474, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8784.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 94.93.
