SOFIA (Reuters) - Wizz Air (L:WIZZ) has suspended all flights to and from Malta until April 10 as a result of the travel restrictions imposed by the Mediterranean island in an attempt to beat Europe's worst outbreak of coronavirus, the low-cost carrier said on Thursday.
Malta said on Wednesday it would stop all incoming passenger flights on Saturday and only allow cargo, humanitarian and repatriation flights to land to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Malta, which depends heavily on tourism, has reported 38 virus cases so far, of which 32 were people who had caught the disease abroad.
