Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Real Estate & Construction and Finance & Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 1.61%, while the ADX General index added 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were Drake & Scull International PJSC (DU:DSI), which rose 7.02% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.610 at the close. National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR) added 4.20% or 0.050 points to end at 1.240 and Emaar Properties PJSC (DU:EMAR) was up 3.72% or 0.230 points to 6.420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:TKFE), which lost 6.83% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.500 in late trade. Takaful House (DU:DTKF) declined 4.35% or 0.023 points to end at 0.506 and AJMAN BANK PJSC (DU:AJBNK) shed 1.09% or 0.020 points to 1.820.
The top performers on the ADX General were Methaq (AD:METH) which rose 13.04% to 1.040, Int Fish Farmi (AD:ASMK) which was up 8.33% to settle at 6.50 and Rak Cmt & Cons (AD:RAKC) which gained 7.56% to close at 1.28.
The worst performers were Abd Nat Takafu (AD:TKFL) which was down 7.57% to 5.25 in late trade, Gulf Cement Co (AD:GCEM) which lost 3.03% to settle at 0.96 and Natl Bk Of Ad (AD:NBAD) which was down 2.71% to 9.68 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 6 and 2 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 15 rose and 8 declined, while 2 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.30% or 0.14 to $46.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.41% or 0.20 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.66% or 7.50 to trade at $1126.10 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was down 0.00% to 3.6729, while EUR/AED fell 0.06% to 4.1204.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.92.
