Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Transport and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 7.50% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.430 at the close. Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) added 6.98% or 0.150 points to end at 2.300 and Bim Magazalar (IS:BIMAS) was up 5.70% or 3.05 points to 56.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which lost 14.38% or 0.220 points to trade at 1.310 in late trade. Anadolu Cam (IS:ANACM) declined 4.55% or 0.150 points to end at 3.150 and Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) shed 3.35% or 0.520 points to 15.020.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 204 to 136 and 64 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.47% or 5.75 to $1219.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.34% or 0.18 to hit $53.38 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.23% or 0.13 to trade at $56.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.71% to 3.6872, while EUR/TRY fell 0.75% to 3.9014.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 101.75.
