Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Holdings & Investments and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 8.76% or 0.48 points to trade at 5.96 at the close. Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) added 5.02% or 0.36 points to end at 7.53 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was up 3.74% or 0.080 points to 2.220 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO), which lost 3.12% or 0.14 points to trade at 4.35 in late trade. Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) declined 2.35% or 0.100 points to end at 4.150 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) shed 2.22% or 0.31 points to 13.64.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 209 to 120 and 76 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 1.62% or 22.15 to $1345.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.07% or 0.45 to hit $41.48 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.11% or 0.49 to trade at $43.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.23% to 3.0183, while EUR/TRY fell 0.21% to 3.3447.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 96.24.
