Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS), which rose 10.43% or 7.95 points to trade at 84.15 at the close. Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) added 9.89% or 0.260 points to end at 2.890 and Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS) was up 4.95% or 0.090 points to 1.910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which lost 4.08% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.820 in late trade. Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) declined 3.51% or 0.32 points to end at 8.79 and Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN) shed 3.28% or 0.040 points to 1.180.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 145 and 69 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.28% or 3.55 to $1246.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.40% or 0.19 to hit $47.85 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $50.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 3.6265, while EUR/TRY rose 0.15% to 3.9158.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 99.52.
