Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Sports and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which rose 9.97% or 4.63 points to trade at 51.05 at the close. Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM) added 4.18% or 7.10 points to end at 177.00 and BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) was up 3.48% or 19.00 points to 564.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK), which lost 5.19% or 2.90 points to trade at 52.95 in late trade. Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) declined 5.15% or 10.10 points to end at 185.90 and Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER) shed 5.02% or 2.30 points to 43.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 435 to 129 and 9 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 4.50 to $2,467.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.47% or 0.36 to hit $76.55 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.40% or 0.32 to trade at $79.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 33.53, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 36.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 102.90.
