Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.58% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which rose 9.98% or 15.20 points to trade at 167.50 at the close. Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) added 6.16% or 28.25 points to end at 486.50 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) was up 2.74% or 1.40 points to 52.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which lost 7.99% or 8.25 points to trade at 94.95 in late trade. Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) declined 5.44% or 8.00 points to end at 139.00 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) shed 5.13% or 11.90 points to 220.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 420 to 145 and 13 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.27% or 7.40 to $2,737.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.50% or 1.03 to hit $69.72 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.20% or 0.88 to trade at $73.94 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.81% to 34.26, while EUR/TRY fell 0.24% to 37.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 103.71.
