Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Transport and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT), which rose 4.25% or 8.40 points to trade at 206.10 at the close. Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) added 3.71% or 0.16 points to end at 4.47 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) was up 3.03% or 205.00 points to 6,980.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT), which lost 7.37% or 1.11 points to trade at 13.95 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 5.20% or 2.85 points to end at 52.00 and AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) shed 4.95% or 16.25 points to 311.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 358 to 203 and 23 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 13.35 to $2,654.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.25% or 0.85 to hit $69.03 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.23% or 0.88 to trade at $72.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 34.19, while EUR/TRY fell 0.07% to 38.11.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 100.35.
