Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Transport, Electricity and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.12% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which rose 1.89% or 1.40 points to trade at 75.40 at the close. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) added 1.24% or 2.20 points to end at 180.20 and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) was up 1.22% or 0.08 points to 6.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which lost 7.60% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.310 in late trade. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) declined 6.28% or 1.760 points to end at 26.260 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) shed 6.15% or 1.340 points to 20.460.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 307 to 53 and 45 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.01% or 13.40 to $1311.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.91% or 0.46 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.83% or 0.46 to trade at $55.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.44% to 3.4871, while EUR/TRY rose 1.30% to 4.1623.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 91.88.
