Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Telecoms and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 7.36% or 4.65 points to trade at 67.85 at the close. Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) added 7.21% or 8.80 points to end at 130.90 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) was up 3.34% or 6.10 points to 188.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which lost 4.61% or 26.50 points to trade at 548.50 in late trade. Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) declined 3.72% or 1.86 points to end at 48.10 and ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) shed 3.61% or 1.80 points to 48.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 301 to 259 and 18 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 1.95 to $2,608.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.46% or 0.99 to hit $68.74 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.28% or 0.92 to trade at $72.53 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.38% to 34.00, while EUR/TRY rose 0.51% to 37.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 100.44.
