Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Metal Products & Machinery and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 7.38% or 0.310 points to trade at 4.510 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 4.29% or 0.270 points to end at 6.570 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 4.02% or 0.130 points to 3.360 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC), which lost 7.43% or 0.310 points to trade at 3.860 in late trade. Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO) declined 6.45% or 0.350 points to end at 5.080 and Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) shed 5.71% or 0.73 points to 12.06.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 249 to 120 and 40 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.26% or 15.90 to $1278.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.46% or 0.24 to trade at $52.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 3.5374, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 4.1570.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.48.
