Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance, Electricity and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which rose 9.95% or 49.75 points to trade at 549.50 at the close. Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT) added 4.64% or 105.00 points to end at 2,369.00 and Ard Grup Bilisim Teknolojileri AS (IS:ARDYZ) was up 4.37% or 1.54 points to 36.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO), which lost 5.71% or 0.69 points to trade at 11.40 in late trade. Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) declined 5.60% or 2.80 points to end at 47.20 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) shed 4.69% or 10.00 points to 203.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 401 to 163 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.38% or 9.60 to $2,542.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.86% or 2.65 to hit $66.06 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 3.34% or 2.40 to trade at $69.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.00% to 34.04, while EUR/TRY fell 0.18% to 37.53.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 101.63.
