Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Sports and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which rose 6.74% or 4.55 points to trade at 72.05 at the close. Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) added 6.68% or 0.81 points to end at 12.94 and Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) was up 6.01% or 2.78 points to 49.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which lost 9.96% or 21.20 points to trade at 191.60 in late trade. AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) declined 8.41% or 28.75 points to end at 313.00 and Enerjisa Enerji AS (IS:ENJSA) shed 5.91% or 3.70 points to 58.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 330 to 233 and 24 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.68% or 17.84 to $2,635.94 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.77% or 0.55 to hit $71.54 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.50 to trade at $74.49 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 35.36, while EUR/TRY fell 0.22% to 36.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 108.08.
