Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT), which rose 5.02% or 0.72 points to trade at 15.06 at the close. Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) added 4.62% or 1.94 points to end at 43.90 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) was up 4.39% or 285.00 points to 6,775.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which lost 7.52% or 40.50 points to trade at 498.00 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 4.61% or 2.65 points to end at 54.85 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) shed 3.54% or 0.82 points to 22.34.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 335 to 224 and 18 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.80% or 21.45 to $2,673.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $67.61 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $70.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 34.16, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 38.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 100.16.
