Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Telecoms and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL), which rose 4.88% or 0.62 points to trade at 13.33 at the close. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) added 4.69% or 10.50 points to end at 234.60 and Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR) was up 3.28% or 3.40 points to 107.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS), which lost 5.82% or 0.23 points to trade at 3.72 in late trade. Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) declined 5.00% or 0.60 points to end at 11.41 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) shed 4.99% or 2.10 points to 40.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 353 to 210 and 21 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.51% or 39.51 to $2,647.61 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.17% or 1.53 to hit $69.05 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.51% or 0.37 to trade at $72.51 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.36% to 35.19, while EUR/TRY rose 0.73% to 36.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 107.75.
