Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports, Holdings & Investments and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 4.77% or 0.360 points to trade at 7.900 at the close. CarrefourSA Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) added 4.55% or 0.32 points to end at 7.36 and Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO) was up 3.84% or 0.190 points to 5.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which lost 4.64% or 0.97 points to trade at 19.95 in late trade. Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) declined 3.10% or 0.90 points to end at 28.10 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) shed 2.97% or 0.36 points to 11.77.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 183 to 176 and 45 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.62 to $1332.08 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.60% or 0.29 to hit $48.36 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.93% or 0.50 to trade at $54.34 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.74% to 3.4324, while EUR/TRY rose 0.94% to 4.1097.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 91.84.
