Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Sports, Banking and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK), which rose 6.08% or 3.50 points to trade at 61.10 at the close. Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK) added 3.55% or 7.20 points to end at 210.30 and Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESBE) was up 3.34% or 0.70 points to 21.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which lost 4.25% or 2.65 points to trade at 59.75 in late trade. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) declined 3.36% or 6.30 points to end at 181.00 and Bosch Fren Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BFREN) shed 3.18% or 29.00 points to 884.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 322 to 228 and 22 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.07% or 1.80 to $2,469.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.51% or 1.20 to hit $80.91 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.03% or 0.86 to trade at $84.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.13% to 33.09, while EUR/TRY rose 0.53% to 36.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 103.52.
