Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.50% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 5.95% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.670 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 3.96% or 0.080 points to end at 2.100 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) was up 2.91% or 0.030 points to 1.060 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR), which lost 10.53% or 13.30 points to trade at 113.00 in late trade. Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO) declined 7.87% or 0.420 points to end at 4.920 and DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) shed 3.60% or 9.60 points to 257.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 198 to 150 and 58 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.25% or 3.21 to $1268.19 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.22% or 0.56 to hit $46.39 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.48 to trade at $48.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.32% to 3.5244, while EUR/TRY fell 0.30% to 3.9495.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.22.
