Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS), which rose 9.89% or 8.90 points to trade at 98.90 at the close. Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) added 3.80% or 1.54 points to end at 42.06 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was up 3.77% or 0.17 points to 4.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which lost 3.06% or 0.190 points to trade at 6.010 in late trade. Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) declined 2.80% or 0.23 points to end at 7.99 and Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) shed 2.65% or 0.16 points to 5.87.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 167 to 166 and 76 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 1.12% or 14.00 to $1236.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.01% or 0.87 to hit $44.05 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 2.07% or 0.92 to trade at $45.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.40% to 2.8440, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 3.1956.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 95.04.
