Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Insurance, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS), which rose 10.00% or 3.26 points to trade at 35.86 at the close. Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS:ANSGR) added 7.26% or 5.55 points to end at 81.95 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) was up 7.06% or 13.10 points to 198.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL), which lost 3.00% or 2.45 points to trade at 79.30 in late trade. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 2.99% or 2.60 points to end at 84.35 and Altinay Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:ALTNY) shed 2.20% or 2.10 points to 93.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 407 to 145 and 27 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 2.30 to $2,676.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.85% or 0.63 to hit $74.34 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.57 to trade at $78.19 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.41% to 34.25, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 37.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 102.32.
