Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Telecoms and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which rose 9.97% or 4.69 points to trade at 51.75 at the close. Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) added 9.96% or 20.20 points to end at 223.10 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) was up 7.50% or 1.60 points to 22.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which lost 3.02% or 1.50 points to trade at 48.24 in late trade. EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) declined 2.01% or 1.10 points to end at 53.50 and Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC) shed 1.82% or 0.46 points to 24.88.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 448 to 114 and 11 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.17% or 4.40 to $2,542.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.53% or 0.40 to hit $75.14 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.64% or 0.51 to trade at $79.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 33.70, while EUR/TRY rose 0.53% to 37.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 101.83.
