Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 19.98% or 3.770 points to trade at 22.640 at the close. Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) added 4.70% or 0.380 points to end at 8.460 and DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) was up 4.39% or 7.90 points to 187.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 3.03% or 0.210 points to trade at 6.710 in late trade. GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) declined 1.27% or 0.010 points to end at 0.780 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) shed 1.05% or 0.040 points to 3.780.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 301 to 49 and 54 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 6.21 to $1295.11 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.90% or 0.46 to hit $50.84 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.81% or 0.46 to trade at $56.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 3.6505, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 4.3262.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 92.96.
