Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Textile & Leather and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 6.47% or 1.100 points to trade at 18.100 at the close. Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) added 5.92% or 0.100 points to end at 1.790 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 5.39% or 1.560 points to 30.480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which lost 2.53% or 1.26 points to trade at 48.62 in late trade. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 1.28% or 0.42 points to end at 32.50 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) shed 1.20% or 0.070 points to 5.740.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 246 to 111 and 49 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.99% or 13.35 to $1337.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.43% or 0.68 to hit $48.16 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $53.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.13% to 3.4074, while EUR/TRY fell 0.73% to 4.0765.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 91.84.
