Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Tourism, Transport and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 19.86% or 1.170 points to trade at 7.060 at the close. Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) added 12.81% or 0.870 points to end at 7.660 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) was up 5.11% or 6.00 points to 123.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS), which lost 8.53% or 2.32 points to trade at 24.88 in late trade. ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) declined 2.33% or 0.100 points to end at 4.200 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) shed 2.04% or 1.05 points to 50.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 236 to 107 and 58 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.63% or 8.04 to $1289.74 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.53% or 0.87 to hit $57.70 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.62% or 0.39 to trade at $62.96 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.49% to 3.9373, while EUR/TRY fell 0.11% to 4.6421.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 93.43.
