Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Metal Products & Machinery and Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK), which rose 7.98% or 1.33 points to trade at 18.00 at the close. Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 7.03% or 1.76 points to end at 26.80 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 5.44% or 2.48 points to 48.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which lost 4.81% or 0.81 points to trade at 16.04 in late trade. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) declined 4.62% or 0.790 points to end at 16.310 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) shed 4.51% or 0.110 points to 2.330.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 132 and 59 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.39% or 5.20 to $1323.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.32% or 0.22 to hit $67.97 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.16 to trade at $74.58 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.40% to 4.0501, while EUR/TRY fell 0.39% to 4.9070.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 91.44.
