Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Transport and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.53% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 7.54% or 1.100 points to trade at 15.690 at the close. Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) added 5.04% or 0.070 points to end at 1.460 and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) was up 4.67% or 0.220 points to 4.930 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which lost 6.43% or 1.540 points to trade at 22.400 in late trade. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 4.17% or 0.160 points to end at 3.680 and DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) shed 3.86% or 7.50 points to 187.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 203 to 139 and 64 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.02% or 13.27 to $1311.17 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.32% or 1.59 to hit $46.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 0.67 to trade at $51.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 3.4443, while EUR/TRY rose 0.58% to 4.1268.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.19.
