Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Textile & Leather and Sports sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 6.16% or 1.540 points to trade at 26.520 at the close. Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) added 4.41% or 5.00 points to end at 118.40 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 4.30% or 1.56 points to 37.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which lost 3.43% or 0.62 points to trade at 17.46 in late trade. Brisa Bridgestone Sabanci Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRISA) declined 2.71% or 0.20 points to end at 7.17 and Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) shed 2.58% or 2.15 points to 81.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 194 to 163 and 50 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.11% or 1.50 to $1330.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.71% or 0.44 to hit $62.12 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.50% or 0.33 to trade at $65.75 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.13% to 3.7830, while EUR/TRY rose 0.15% to 4.6650.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 89.76.
