Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Technology and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 7.77% or 1.760 points to trade at 24.400 at the close. Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) added 5.28% or 0.360 points to end at 7.180 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) was up 4.45% or 4.60 points to 108.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 3.58% or 0.240 points to trade at 6.470 in late trade. Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) declined 3.16% or 0.030 points to end at 0.920 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) shed 2.21% or 0.100 points to 4.420.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 175 to 172 and 55 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.47% or 6.09 to $1302.59 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.66% or 0.84 to hit $51.44 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.69% or 0.95 to trade at $57.20 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.73% to 3.6299, while EUR/TRY fell 0.74% to 4.2966.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 92.86.
