Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Electricity and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.18%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA), which rose 8.05% or 0.330 points to trade at 4.430 at the close. SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) added 6.31% or 0.500 points to end at 8.420 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was up 3.15% or 0.410 points to 13.430 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which lost 9.11% or 2.000 points to trade at 19.960 in late trade. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) declined 6.57% or 13.00 points to end at 185.00 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) shed 5.10% or 0.210 points to 3.910.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 207 to 137 and 61 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.64 to $1293.06 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.44% or 1.18 to hit $47.23 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.50% or 0.79 to trade at $51.78 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 3.4843, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 4.1159.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.18.
